David Chimwemwe Marama- Guitarist, Composer, Vocalist, Traditional instrumentalist & Percussionist.
From Malawi, exiled to Tanzania, David came to Australia with family in 1991. Researcher of African music, composer, performer and manager of notable bands, including Tatunane which won the 1991 Radio France award in a field of 500 African and Caribbean groups. David has played in an extensive list of bands both overseas and in Australia.
He has recorded with Musiki Manjaro, Thula Sana, Royal Swazi Spas, Orso, Ray Pereira and Boite projects. Whilst in Australia, David has participated in countless festivals. He is a passionate supporter of projects that encourage youth development through art and music.
